The Tumbleweeds of the month for October are named Ivan, Charley, Frances, and Jeanne. Many of our readers may or may not know, that the Prairie Post is written and published in the state of Florida; this is the place of my exile. Why Florida? It may surprise our readers to know that another Prairieboy (one of my hero’s) W.O. Mitchell spent a great deal of time in Florida; it was a shot.

The Government of Alberta could not stop the Prairie Post! The Queens Bench could not stop the Prairie Post! But Mother Nature and four Hurricanes have forced the Post to postpone publishing until November 1st. I apologize to our readers, but a lack of electricity, fuel, and missing roofs has a way of changing ones priorities. The best way to describe a Hurricane is to quote Mr. Miyagi “Strike hard. No mercy.” November will be a special edition featuring a Prairie perspective on living through four Hurricanes; I know another journalism first.
